Forested terrain survey completed in Chhattisgarh

Raipur, April 5 (IANS) For the first time, Chhattisgarh has completed survey of Abujhmad, a thickly forested area in Bastar region known to be a Maoist guerrilla nerve centre, a minister said Saturday. Revenue Minister Brijmohan Agrawal said that government has just completed aerial survey of 237 villages in Abujhmad, located in the state’s southern region of Bastar, purely for revenue purposes as the government had earlier not managed to find access there.

read more(these are the photos when one goes from Dornapal to Polampalli in South Bastar on both side of the road. The SDOP Pawar told some journalist when asked that they were cut by the villagers to build their houses. The truth is that huge numbers of trees have been cut on both side of the roads without any Forest permission all over Bastar because our Para-Military is afraid of an Ambush by the Naxals.)

Now going back to Mr.Brijmohan Agrawal's statement regarding Abujhmad, will the virgin forest of Abujmad also have the same fate as the above photos?Since Para-Military will be required to go there also to burn villages, kill tribals I won't be surprised if Brijmohan Agrawal
contemplates starting Salwa Judum in Abujhmad also.

Its interesting how Politicians who have no roots with the soil of Bastar and even Chhattisgarh are systematically destroying and displacing tribals and their culture by using a unilateral formula called "Development".

If there is an independent search done as to what prompted families of these Politicians choose Chhattisgarh at the time of leaving their respective States,I won't be surprised if all of them ran away from their respective States to avoid LAW.
